I’ve been testing Ubuntu 12.10 on my laptop for a few days and I’m incredibly impressed with it. I say that’s where my future PC platform is going to be at, open source goodness! Having been a big fan of Windows 7, I can’t say I like any of what Microsoft is doing with Win8 – feels like they are trying to close down the platform – something that I dislike. So, no Windows 8 for me.

Now Gabe Newell just needs to get some more Steam games ported to linux, and drive manufacturer interest as well as users towards linux/ubuntu – which it looks like valve will do with SteamBox. Half Life 3 release on SteamBox? I can see it coming.

Only software still missing from a full workplace setup is Photoshop, let’s hope it’s coming soon.
